Apps and point‑of‑sale, set up right for small business.

SNJCO builds custom apps and installs the tills, printers, scanners and card readers that run your counter — then stays on call when something stops working.

You talk to the person who does the work. No call centre, no ticket queue.

What we do

Three things, done properly.

Most small businesses don't need an IT department. They need the counter to work, the numbers to add up, and one person who picks up the phone.

Custom apps

When off-the-shelf software doesn't fit how you actually work, we build the piece that's missing.

  • Android phones and tablets
  • Windows desktop
  • Web apps that work on any device
  • Connected to the systems you already use

Point-of-sale software

We choose it with you, set it up, load your items and prices, and train your staff on it.

  • Square POS setup and menus
  • Online booking and reservations
  • Online ordering and payments
  • Sales flowing into your bookkeeping

Hardware & peripherals

The physical side of the counter — supplied, installed, and made to talk to each other.

  • Receipt and kitchen printers
  • Barcode scanners and cash drawers
  • Card readers and terminals
  • Wi-Fi and network that stays up

Square point of sale

The till we know best.

Most of the counters we look after run on Square. We set it up, fix it when it misbehaves, and connect it to the rest of the business — the kitchen printer, the delivery apps, the booking page and the books.

We work directly with Square's account managers. When a restaurant signs on with Square, the hardware order comes to us and we do the install.

How it works

From first call to open for business.

No jargon and no surprises. You'll know what you're getting before anything is ordered.

1

We talk

Tell us how your business runs today and what's getting in the way. We come and see the counter if that helps.

2

We set it up

Software configured, hardware installed, items loaded, staff trained — tested with real sales before you rely on it.

3

We stay on call

When a printer jams the order queue on a Friday night, you call one number and reach the person who built it.

Why SNJCO

We run a small business too.

SNJCO is led by Stephen Jansen, who has spent 16 years fixing hardware and software for the people who use it — and has co-owned and run a wine bar in Sault Ste. Marie since 2014. Every system we recommend is one we'd put on our own counter.

That means we know what a slow till costs on a busy night, why payroll has to be right the first time, and that nobody has an afternoon to spend on hold.
